All Technical Access Training & Assessment Standards are developed for the public domain. These outcomes may be used freely for course and assessment structuring.
TA-Standards are aimed at creating continuity in training and assessment strategies where current accreditation authorities in South Africa are no longer catering for short courses less than 8 credits in academic value. TA-standards fill the gap left by the "legacy qualifications" (also known as Unit Standards) as they reach their registration end dates (2023/06/30).
Both the South African and the international training industry can benefit from aligning to the TA-standards where similar skills development outcomes no longer- or may not currently- exist.
Membership with TASC is voluntary. TASC Members are audited for compliance against TA-standards and their ability to provide safe and appropriate facilitation through the skills development process. Members get access to the TASC database which allows for authentication of assessment results under the TASC stamp of approval for quality skills development delivery.
